The Titles Leaving PS Plus Extra in March 2023, and What’s Coming Next
Shari Lynn Kramer / 14 Mar 2023
PlayStation Plus is Sony's premier gaming platform, offering its users a wealth of games, exclusive content, and online multiplayer. On top of the regular monthly games available to all PS Plus subscribers, the service also offers an Extra tier with a larger library of titles. Each month, Sony refreshes the collection available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, bringing in new games and taking away some older ones. In March 2023, nine titles are set to leave PS Plus Extra, but many more exciting games are heading in.
As reported by TrueTrophies, nine games are scheduled to be removed from the Extra tier of PlayStation Plus in March 2023. These titles include Danger Zone, Dungeons 2, Ghost of a Tale, Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 5, Override 2: Super Mech League, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Velocibox, Victor Vran Overkill Edition, and WWE 2K22, with the last one leaving on March 14 and the other eight being removed on March 21.
To make up for some of the titles departing the service, Sony has already confirmed a few of the games coming to PS Plus Extra in March 2023. One of these is the much-anticipated Tchia—a sandbox exploration game from Funcom. Other marquee titles joining the collection include Ghostwire: Tokyo, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Rainbow Six Extraction, and Immortals Fenyx Rising. PS Plus Premium subscribers can also look forward to some new releases, though no titles are currently scheduled to leave this tier.
Sony has also been adding trophy support to some of the classic titles in the PS Plus Premium section, giving gamers even more of an incentive to play their favorite games. While users will no longer be able to play the titles leaving the PS Plus Extra service in March 2023, they can still take advantage of the free games available to all PS Plus subscribers.
In conclusion, PlayStation Plus is the ultimate gaming platform, with a massive library of games and exclusive content. Each month, Sony refreshes the library by bringing in new titles and taking away some older ones from both the Extra and Premium tiers of PS Plus. In March 2023, nine titles are set to leave the Extra tier, but Sony has already confirmed a few of the titles coming in—including Tchia, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Rainbow Six Extraction, and Immortals Fenyx Rising. There are also some new games coming to the Premium tier, though none are scheduled to leave. With plenty of exciting titles to choose from, PS Plus subscribers will have no shortage of quality games to play.
