Riot Games has provided insights into the changes coming to the EMEA Regional Leagues (ERLs) for the 2025 season. The modifications aim to enhance the competitive landscape of League of Legends in the region, which sits just below the LEC. Notably, the new structure will introduce a three-split format alongside three Masters events.

The ERLs will embrace a three-split format akin to the LEC, including Winter, Spring, and Summer seasons. Each of these splits will culminate in a season finale, designed to cater tailored to the particular requirements of the local populations. This initiative aims to foster better pathways into EMEA Masters competition. Riot has highlighted the flexibility that each league will possess to customize split formats that reflect the distinct characteristics of their unique audiences. As a result, fans can anticipate a rich variety of formats across the ERLs in the upcoming year!

Regarding the Masters events, there will be three occasions throughout the season, although details about the exact format are still pending. Players and spectators should be ready for unique alterations in terms of duration and organization for each of these events, creating a diverse and engaging experience.

Additionally, the ERLs will implement a Fearless Draft for the 2025 season, which will also be explored within the LEC structure.

As for the schedule, the season is set to unfold as follows:

  1. Winter Split: January 13 - March 9
  2. Spring Split: March 24 - May 30
  3. Masters Winter: March 17 - 23
  4. Masters Spring: June 3 - 21

Further information regarding the Summer Split and Masters events is expected to be revealed in the near future.
