Astro Bot represents Team Asobi's most expansive project to date

During the latest State of Play showcase by PlayStation, the revelation of a new Astro Bot game emerged as a significant highlight. This venture transforms our endearing, whimsical robot into the star of his own full-blown expedition, marking a significant advancement for Team Asobi.

In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Nicolas Doucet, the head of Team Asobi studio, shed light on the ambitious scope players can anticipate. "We're elevating our game by several levels—to deliver a substantial narrative for Astro," he commented. "We've chosen the name Astro Bot as it symbolizes a fresh start. It's an immense, arguably the most substantial project we've undertaken."

Astro's journey doesn't just illuminate Sony's emblem. The game is set to feature many familiar faces from various PlayStation franchises. "Astro's adventure is interwoven with encounters from a wide array of characters belonging to the PlayStation world. While Astro takes center stage in his saga, these PlayStation icons contribute significantly to the story," Doucet explained.

Astro Bot is scheduled to debut on PS5 on September 6th.
