Shari Lynn Kramer / 23 May 2023
Fans of the acclaimed psychological thriller "Alan Wake," have long been awaiting news regarding a sequel to the game. Now, Matthew Poretta, the actor who voiced the main character, has potentially provided a clue, suggesting that Alan Wake 2 will be released in October 2023.
Poretta announced this information during a podcast on the Monster, Madness and Magic channel. He stated:
"I've been working on [Alan Wake 2]," said Porretta. "That's supposed to come out in October. We're in the middle of working on it now. In fact, I was just in Finland last week, that's where the company is from... Remedy, amazing people."
However, fans should maintain a degree of caution when interpreting Matthew's statement. It is entirely possible that the actor was simply sharing an unrelated project that coincidentally shares the same release month as the rumored Alan Wake sequel.
Nonetheless, Matthew's post is sure to fuel excitement and speculation among the game's fanbase. Until an official announcement is made, gamers can only hope that the enigmatic post does indeed herald the return of the writer-turned-action-hero. The potential October release of Alan Wake 2 would be fitting, given the game's spooky atmosphere and history of eerie events, making it the perfect addition to the Halloween season.
