WhatsApp Might Soon Be Adding New Features

It seems that we may soon expect to see new features added to both the regular and the business versions of WhatsApp. The regular version will soon allow for the creation of Communities. These new Communities will provide their admins with more control, also allowing them to link several groups together. Additionally, admins will be able to message all group members at the same time, which was not possible in the past.
WhatsApp Business version of the app will enable users to use a cover photo on the profile page. Once available, this new feature can be used by tapping on the Camera button located on the right side of the screen, allowing the users to upload a photo of themselves. The new cover image in WhatsApp seems to closely resemble the cover photos used in Facebook profiles.
Meta has yet to announce when the new updates will become available, but according to screenshots WhatsApp Business profile section will be completely revamped. Unfortunately, it seems like they aren’t planning to add the cover photo functionality to the regular version of the app. Regular users, however, will be able to view the cover pictures of business users.
The new features are currently in development, but they were already spotted in the 22.4.0.75 update for iOS. It may take quite a bit of time for these features to reach consumers, but at least we know that sooner or later they will become available. Despite the fact that it was only seen in an iOS update, these features are bound to be available for both Android and iOS users.
Are you disappointed that the cover photo feature will not be available for everyone? Do you think the new Communities feature will be popular? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
