TikTok Named The World Most Downloaded App

TikTok managed to become the most popular app on the App Store and over platforms. This app, which was previously known as Musically, allows users to quickly create 15-second short clips with special effects for sharing with friends all around the world. Тhe ByteDance's app is not seeing any slowdown in gaining popularity. On Google Play Store, the application made its way to 2nd place in terms of the number of installs.

TikTok officially became the number one downloadable app in the non-gaming category in July 2021. People have installed the app over 63 million times on their personal devices. Douyin was the leader in terms of downloads in China with 15% of installs and then moved to the United States chart with 9% of installs.

Let's see what we have below the social media star in this July 2021 top 10. The giant, also known as Facebook, has made up the rest of the top 5 with its Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger apps. The non-gaming category also includes Snapchat,  Zoom, Telegram, CapCut, and Google Meet at the closing spot.

Unsurprisingly Facebook arrives second in the month's most downloaded applications for July, with an impressive amount of 53 million installs. India comes with the highest number of Facebook installs with 27% of all installs compared to 7%  in the US. Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger follow in third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively.
