PlayStation Plus Gets a Timed Demo of Dying Light 2
Shari Lynn Kramer / 16 Oct 2022
Dying Light 2 is one of the most awaited sequels of 2022. The second installment in the very successful series was released in February 2022, but many gamers still linger, deterred by less positive reviews or bugs that haunt freshly released games. Now it’s time to try it, though, especially as it arrives on PlayStation Plus – even as a demo version.
Dying Light 2 is set in a postapocalyptic world – the vision that’s too close to reality now, though (we hope) not to that extent. Its open world offers a lot to explore in the city of survivors, where you need to both fight zombies and interact with humans, try your skills at parkour, fighting, and puzzle-solving. Though this installment is considered not as brilliant as the first one, the game is still well-regarded and considered a success.
The demo you get with your PlayStation Plus subscription, though, only lets you have a taste of it for three hours which is not nearly enough to appreciate the entire story. The silver lining is the ability to seamlessly save your progress made in these hours if you decide to purchase the full version after trying. Also, the demo is both available for PlayStation 4 and 5, though, being a fresh game, it benefits seriously on the next-gen hardware.
Alas, the demo of Dying Light 2 will only be available to PS Plus Premium subscribers; those with Essential or Extra will not get it. Of course, hardly will this demo alone motivate you to up your tier, but remember that it has dozens of other fantastic titles as well.
Have you already played Dying Light 2? What are your impressions? Do you think three hours will be enough to really taste the game and decide whether you want to go on? What other great games does PlayStation Plus Premium have that other tiers lack? We’d like you to drop some names and share your thoughts in the comments!
