Microsoft's 'One Outlook' Coming Soon
Shari Lynn Kramer / 09 May 2022
The new email client from Microsoft will be available very soon. Some users have already managed to download this app, but for now, it only works for educational and work accounts. Microsoft's email clients have long been rumored to be similar to the Outlook web app. Looking at the 'One Outlook' and its functionality, we can say that the hypothesis was fully justified. The only thing that sets it apart is that it’s much simpler and lighter than previous Outlook versions.
One Outlook email client should soon replace the corresponding email application in Windows along with the Win32 Outlook program. According to Scott Stiles, who is the vice president of Outlook’s management, today's version doesn't have all the features that will be available during beta testing, so don't rush to download the app. Microsoft is expected to officially announce its application at the Build developer conference in late May, after which 'One Outlook' will be fully operational and replace some applications.
Microsoft's desire to keep up with the times and create Progressive Web Apps gives every reason to believe that with this company the future will come even sooner than many might expect. Of course, the transition to a new application will not be easy, but this restructuring is worth it. In any case, the transition will be smooth and users will be able to fully experience the benefits of 'One Outlook' both in beta and after the full release.
How do you feel about the fact that Microsoft is gradually giving preference to Internet-based applications? Do you think the 'One Outlook' release will be successful? Tell us your opinion in the comments below!
