Fortnite: Return of The B.R.U.T.E.
Shari Lynn Kramer / 11 Oct 2021
Season 8 is in full swing now. There is still a lot of time before the end, which means tons of innovations await us. World-renowned leakers Shiina and HypeX, who have proven their reliability several times, have reported that the developers plan to bring Mechs back to the game. Although it is still unofficial information, and the developers have not confirmed it (as usual), many players have already been bothered by this possibility.
Recall that the B.R.U.T.E. first appeared in Season X of the first chapter and caused a flurry of anger from users. The fact is that these mechanized characters possessed incredible power and simply demolished everything living in their path. The creators' goal was to unite players in the battle with super-powerful Mechs and make the action more spectacular, but in the end, gamers united against the developers. And although Epic Games released an update, trying to balance this part of the gameplay a little, users were still unhappy. After that, the B.R.U.T.E.s disappeared from sight.
As HypeX tweeted, there is some confirmation that the giant Mechs will return to the game at the end of Season 8. The developers changed the charging process and added swimming skills. As for how much damage robots will inflict on players, nothing is known yet. Most likely, they will be introduced in a new improved (balanced) configuration to avoid past mistakes. Still, Season X's wave of discontent was too big to ignore. As some gamers suggest, these may not be the same Mechs, but just similar robots. In any case, we are still waiting for official information from the company.
Please share your experience with the B.R.U.T.E.s. Did you think they really made the gameplay more varied, or just complicated things? What items from previous seasons would you return instead?
