The launch of Helldivers II on both PS5 and PC has been met with such enthusiasm that it has reinforced Sony's strategy to release future first-party games across multiple platforms from the outset. In light of this triumph, Arrowhead Studios is basking in the glory of their hit action game, yet they show no signs of complacency. On the contrary, the studio is eager to ramp up its efforts to enrich the game with additional content.

Johan Pilestedt, the head of the studio, took to Twitter / X to announce the studio’s intention to recruit more skilled developers. By expanding its team, Arrowhead aims to both quicken and bolster the expansion of Helldivers II's content offering. With the recent circumstances leading to redundancies in the industry, it’s anticipated that Arrowhead's vacancies will be snatched up quickly.

Players will not have to wait long to observe ongoing enhancements and refinements to the current game contents. Earlier in the day, patch 1.000.006 was deployed, a modest update that nonetheless addresses several performance issues and frustrating gameplay glitches. Highlighted below are the improvements included in the patch:

  • User profiles with an extensive friends list no longer trigger game crashes.
  • Repaired a crash occurring from using text-to-speech during the extraction cutscene.
  • The game no longer crashes when players disconnect during the joining cutscene.
  • Addressed a problem where Operation Status in the Mission Summary could cause a crash.
